Rhiannon Gogh

Award-winning Chartered Financial Planner • Founder • Author

My name is Rhiannon Gogh, I’m a Chartered Financial Planner a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and Founder of SENDFA (The UK Alliance of Special Needs Financial Advisers). I have a son with autism and what I’ve learnt about financial planning for SEND families over the last decade has utterly shocked me. Putting together a pathway for parents to follow has taken seven years of trial and error, research, and collaboration with other professionals. There was no handbook to follow, so I’ve written the ‘Planning with Love’ series of books for families like mine.

In my career I’ve sadly come across many families who faced irreversible financial harm, just because they didn’t know the issues and what steps they could have taken. It’s my aim that these courses will help you avoid the traps and give you the confidence you need to step forward in your planning for the future.

I’ve trained thousands of SEND parents, presented to special schools, charities, financial planning bodies and industry organisations. I’m excited to share these valuable courses with as many SEND parents as possible on the Carer’s Academy.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if the course is right for me?

If you are a parent, carer, grandparent or family member of a young person with Special Needs worried about their future, this course has been written for you. Whether or not your child has a diagnosis, if you think they will be vulnerable in receipt of their own money, unable to make decisions or want to know how to protect their means-tested benefits from being impacted by an inheritance, this course will offer you step-by-step instructions and a roadmap to follow.

How is the course structured?

There are 6 modules, totalling 70 minutes watch time. You'll have access to the course for life, meaning you can go back and watch on demand, whenever you want to.

What's the difference between this and other wills and trusts seminars?

The Carers Academy is independent and impartial - we don't sell wills or offer professional trustee services and there is never any encouragement from us to choose one path or another. We simply want you to feel empowered and confident knowing you've chosen the right path for your family, having had the right information. Our complete special needs planning course also offers insights into how families can use life insurance and protect valuable assets outside the scope of the will, such as pensions too. These are rarely covered elsewhere.

Can you recommend a solicitor?

We don't recommend solicitors within the Special Needs Planning Roadmap - however we have put together the 'Finding the Right Solicitor Pack',  providing everything you need to help you find a local trusted solicitor. The pack includes a list of directories you can trust, a qualification checklist and a red flag guide. Please note: for consultancy clients we can liaise with solicitors and professionals on our client's behalf, link here:

What if I still have questions?

Every course comes with an invite to a group Q and A planning session - make sure you opt in to ask your questions. However, if your circumstances are complex, or if you still have further questions, please look at our 'Course and Consult' package here

What if I'm unhappy?

We are so confident after watching the course, you'll wonder why you didn't buy it sooner! However, the course comes with a full 14 day money back guarantee. If you aren't happy with your purchase, our 'no questions asked' refund offers you complete protection.
